Kalki Koechlin is back with a third season of the BBC World Service podcast, Kalki Presents: My Indian Life. It’s the podcast about being young and Indian in the 21st century, and the Bollywood actor will be telling ten more stories from around India.
The new season of the podcast launches on Saturday 5th November 2022. It will also air on BBC World Service radio, in the Weekend Stories slot, from 5th November.
In Season 3, Kalki will meet more young Indians with remarkable stories. The first episode is about Tanya, a private detective who says everyone has a secret. We hear about some of the cases she has investigated. There was the student who Tanya followed to an unexpected place, the fiancé who couldn’t give up his dream and the husband whose affair potentially put his life at risk.
In episode 2, Kalki interviews a famous gamer with 33 million subscribers but none of them know who he is. He says he thinks he knows how Spiderman feels – his identity is hidden from the world.
Later in the new season, the podcast will feature the Paralympic gold medallist, Avani Lekhara. After a car crash changed the course of life, she discovered a new talent and a will to win. She tells Kalki: “When I hold the rifle, I’m in the zone”.
Once again, the podcast won’t shy away from exploring some challenging subjects and stories and issues that matter to young listeners across India.

The new season of Kalki Presents My Indian Life is an All Things Small production for the BBC World Service. All Things Small - part of Rainshine Entertainment - is a Mumbai based company, which focuses on telling true stories from South Asia. This is its first project with the BBC.
