The new season of the podcast launches on Saturday 5th November 2022. It will also air on BBC World Service radio, in the Weekend Stories slot, from 5th November.

In Season 3, Kalki will meet more young Indians with remarkable stories. The first episode is about Tanya, a private detective who says everyone has a secret. There was the student who Tanya followed to an unexpected place, the fiancé who couldn’t give up his dream and the husband whose affair potentially put his life at risk.

Later in the new season, the podcast will feature the Paralympic gold medallist, Avani Lekhara. After a car crash changed the course of life, she discovered a new talent and a will to win. She tells Kalki: “When I hold the rifle, I’m in the zone”.

Once again, the podcast won’t shy away from exploring some challenging subjects and stories and issues that matter to young listeners across India.

I love hosting Kalki Presents: My Indian Life because it’s about exactly that – the lives of some amazing young people from India, the challenges they’ve faced, how they’ve overcome them, what they’ve achieved and all the stories from the journeys they’ve been on.”

The new season of Kalki Presents My Indian Life is an All Things Small production for the BBC World Service. All Things Small - part of Rainshine Entertainment - is a Mumbai based company, which focuses on telling true stories from South Asia. This is its first project with the BBC.
