At the IPL franchise’s final match, Emirates - the Team Sponsor of Deccan Chargers is providing a golden opportunity for Indian cricket fans to reunite with their friends or relatives who are living abroad.

To watch the game of Deccan Chargers, one lucky fan from India will win a return flight to Hyderabad to bring a friend or family member home. The winner will be given privilege to bring friend or relative from anywhere on the airline’s network of 123 destinations.

The winner will also take centre stage at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium alongside Captain Kumar Sangakkara for the coin toss which will be witnessed by millions of TV viewers worldwide.

The prize will be bagged by the Ultimate Deccan Chargers Fan, which Emirates is aiming to find through a contest on its Facebook page.

The prize will also include hospitality tickets for the match against Royal Challengers Bangalore on 20th May, a signed bat and shirt, as well as two nights’ accommodation at a five-star hotel in Hyderabad.

He further adds, “However, I am sure there are many Indians out there who are missing a friend or relative and would love to surprise them with the chance to fly home. Through this initiative we aim to provide one of India’s famously passionate cricket fans the chance to share this once-in-a-lifetime experience with someone special.”

Sangakkara has also participated in another Emirates activity in support of the development of the game at grass roots level. The Sri Lanka star surprised pupils from Mumbai’s Yusuf Meharali School by staging a coaching session for them last week.
